Appearance
This man is known for standing out, especially at the height of 6’4. Having very little body fat, he is long and lanky, perfect for cosplay and costuming of either or no gender. His face is rather slim and young-looking, his eyes being one of his best features with their miss-matching colors. Those long golden locks surpass his own height, now actually having to be taken up once just to keep from dragging. On the end of said locks is a golden Cross he is rarely seen without even when cosplaying.
He is always groomed, making regular visits to the spa and beauty salon. It, however ,seems he has a fear of sharp objects near his head his he had never had a hair cut since he’s entered Cross City ( and that odd tuff of bang just keeps getting longer and longer). He needs next to no make up to make himself look dashing, his skin nearly flawless. He is indeed a catch and definitely model material.
His way of dressing is all his own. When he is working, he can be found wearing clothes very similar to the J-Rock star Miyavi, or any clothing Ayame may feel he wants to see the blond in. This could be anything from regular clothing with fashionable accessories, leather get-up’s, cosplay of video game characters, or even Lolita.
When he is going to church or formal gatherings, he will wear suits and outfits that show his social position. There are even times where he can be dared into cross-dressing for said things just to prove a point.
All other times, Krad can be found is elaborate frilly robes, angelic-looking clothing, leather, straightjackets, cosplay, skirts or anything type of style as long as it features the colors white and gold. He is not afraid to wear anything at all and will definitely wear it with pride.
Personality
Krad is a very complicated creature. There is no one label that fits this man. The cause for this could be how many different personality disorders Krad exhibits but does not clearly have. Even if you knew the man for years, he would still seem completely enigmatic.
On the outside, Krad is a very well mannered person. He carries himself with all the elegance of a gentleman and displays carefully thought out gesture’s when in the presence of others. Being fluent in Japanese, German and English, he is able to speak all three with the most proper of vocabulary and word usage. His face will always display a kind smile with eyes that captivate anyone that finds themselves drowning in their icy depts. Sometimes this can border feminine manners and gesture’s. No one knows as to the why for such thing.
The way he carries himself around people is calm and collected, but is laced with an apparent distrust for people now a days.
Krad is always armed with an array of weapons and is always ready to pull an attack. He is definitely not afraid to hurt people if it comes to that. Because of the dwindling trust, he also is armed with a gun among all of his blades. Where he hides these things is anyone’s guess since he hides them with expert care. It may all seem like self defense and paranoia when it’s really just his psychosis.
His “distrust” goes hand in hand with how he sees love. When it comes to a relationship, he becomes insanely possessive of the person in question. Anyone that person becomes close to that he does not approve of becomes his target and will be terminated without second thought. He holds absolutely no qualms against hurting other people or that person he “loves” in order to achieve the peace he thinks should be in order.
He will do such this as use “-sama” when referring to that person and call them “my everything” openly. Quite openly will be warn that person that he will not be ignored or cast aside for anything thing to anyone no matter what. Breaking up will cause him to either be in denial or try to kill the person and anyone else involved.
Krad is one of those people who think it is dirty to let his lovers go without actually killing them. It revolts to the core to think someone else would be getting the same treatment that he received from someone. He also never gets over it and over time will grow more and more angry over letting anyone get away.
The Hikari family business
The Hikari family is know for their world renown art pieces that have been treasured for centuries. Painting's, Sculpture's, prized alchemic substances, There is nothing that the Hikari's have not done. It is not uncommon to have seen Hikari pieces in major art museums and private collections the world over. In fact, sometimes it is looked down upon to have never heard of or never had a Hikari pieces to the wealthy.
There is one particular sculpture named "Hakuyoku" which means "white wings" that is kept in Krad's possession. This piece was completed the day Krad was born. The bigger rendition, "Kokuyoku" meaning "black wings", is on display in the Hikari museum of art. This piece is suppose to be insight on Krad's true self.
Apart from the main business, The Hikari family dabble in a little of everything. Their main bases are in Asia and Europe.
Pre-Cross City history
Krad was not a very beloved child. He lacked the usual Hikari talent for creating art so he was usually cast aside. Unfortunately he is the oldest male of his generation so he is also the heir to the family fortune. Even though he starved for attention and always tried to use the most endearing sentiments possible, his family shunned it and him. From a young age his violent, obsessive nature started to surface due to the shunning. It mostly went over looked since the child was of no use to them.
He was sent off to ritzy boarding school's all across Europe and Asia from a young age due to his parent's not wanting to deal with him. Since he could not create "art with a magical feel", they decided to make the child learn other skills. He was trained to win the hearts of potential buyer's by using those make sentiments and elegant skills of his. It did not matter to him that he was being used for selfish reason's since he "valued" his family as though they were his "possessions".
As a growing boy through school, Krad made no friends even if he was always regarded as "The Shining Angel" (where his family regarded him as "The Ice Demon"). Though these years Krad because very well versed in fencing and many different formal dances. He dabbled in many different area's aside from that as well like painting, sculpting, piano. Although, he never really got attention for them since it was not up to family standards.
The school years went quickly, Krad only seeing his family for holiday's that it absolutely necessary that he be present. In his teen years, his mental instability became more noticeable. It was then that he took a liking to studying Criminology on his own. It wasn't seen as something really needed by a man of Krad's place so he was made to only study it in private.
The serious state of his psychosis wasn't realized until he turned 16. It was during the summer that he returned for a short vacation to find his parent's where having yet another child. With his relationship already rocky with is younger brother, Argentine Hikari, he was convinced this one was only created to replace him. Without thinking or holding back, Krad went into a massive rage and murdered off anyone and everyone that got in between him and the murder of his parents.
His grandmother, a woman who has been a long standing member of Rosen Kreuz and student of dark magic (Krad is utterly ashamed of them thinking they can accomplish such stupidity), took charge and made sure it was all covered up to make sure that Krad's insanity didn't bring shame to the Hikari's. He was disregarded completely was far as the family was concerned and only cared to pay attention when he was doing things that would yet again look bad upon the family name.
Krad delved into Psychology not too long afterward to try and figure out why his sentiments were so wrong. Almost at once, seeing as Krad finished formal schooling a few years early, he was sent to an upstanding Asian university for the first half of his college schooling. It was on a whim that he decided to transfer to Cross University (which is a lie +_+, he nearly stabbed someone in the other school and grandmother sent him away again).
History within Cross City
At the age of twenty-one, Krad entered Cross University to finish his major of "Criminal Psychology". It could be said he didn't care much for making friends, but the known fact of "All of Cross City is out of their minds" made it a lot easier on him.
Between fits of Sugar coma's and drunken blackouts due to sex games at the bar, Krad found himself with a very interesting group of friends and an even wider array of acquaintances. It was through these friends that Krad accepted that the regal manners he's had to keep up all his life were not always needed and became somewhat of a more open individual (or as open as he gets.)
His troubles/adventures truly started when he met one of the students who went to the university and encouraged them to go against their family as he often does. This led to one of the higher-ups of said family having one of Krad's newest friend's kidnapped and tortured to teach him not to enter business that wasn't his.
It goes without saying that they tracked him to his newest job at the Toy Chest and made him and the student he befriended travel though different dangerous trials to retrieve the kidnapped friend. Through this little adventure, and a few emotionless words, he ended up a lover that set off his psychosis at many different points.
With getting involved with this male, Krad unknowingly set himself up to be drafted for rescue missions and assassination's galore. Because of such activity, their relationship became rather rocky. In the end, not even the fear of Krad acting upon his venomous words of obsession and killing stopped the lover from running away and never being heard from again.
The wake of such events made Krad crawl back into his mental shell and venture back to Europe where he got himself in even more danger and ended up running from different organizations and trying to make his way back to Cross City.
Now, Krad has instinctively become wary of people and very untrusting on their words or sentiments. A random moments, some words or phrases remind him of the lost lover and send him into fits of rage or homicidal tendencies. He has personally tried to better himself and become in control of his mental state, but it seem to be a lot more off balance than it use to be.
